MARRIAGE PROPOSAL
IN A KNIGHT'S TALE
Between 11 am and 11:30 am, your chauffeur will call you, and you will be picked up from your hotel by an exquisite white 1955 Citroën Traction.
As you reach the outskirts of Paris, in the department of Seine-et-Marne, not far from Fontainebleau, you will be welcomed by a lackey wearing 18th-century clothes, who will invite you to climb aboard an elegant horse-drawn carriage. At the coachman's signal, the horses will start moving, their shod hooves clattering on the pavement as you set off on a journey towards an ancient equestrian farm.
As you descend a long path through the Graville forest, fully reserved for this occasion, you will follow the country lane that King Henri IV once traveled with his female conquests to reach the Graville castle...
Suddenly, a strange man dressed like an 18th-century farmer will appear and gesture towards you. The farmer will approach you with enthusiasm and announce the arrival of a mysterious messenger, only to be interrupted by the sudden appearance of a black-dressed bandit popping up from the foliage! The farmer, close to panic, will run away, but the bandit, on horseback, will pursue the farmer, catch up to him, and knock him down, promising him a terrible punishment because of the good news he announced to you.
The farmer cry out for assistance, drawing the attention of a knight, the famous messenger who was on his way to the Graville castle precisely to meet you. The gentleman, with a rapier and leather sheath around his waist, will rescue the farmer and draw his sword to challenge the bandit. The two men will engage in a wild duel of dodges and blows until they both fall to the ground. Although the messenger is down, he will try to continue the fight, but the bandit will get the upper hand and beat him...
At that moment, the farmer will return with a wooden stick in hand, and with boldness and courage, he will take part in the fight and succeed in beating the bandit in a totally unexpected way. Beaten and humiliated, the bandit will run away, stumbling and cursing while hearing the laughter of the providential rescuer. The gentleman, helped by the farmer, will get up and, as a true and noble messenger, will offer your beloved the mysterious object of his mission: a parchment revealing your marriage proposal message! Your partner will be left speechless as the horse rears up, and the knight rides away at full gallop, while the farmer disappears into the foliage...
Your epic adventure ends as the carriage stops in the gardens of the Graville castle, where an elegant table is set for an elegant and bucolic picnic. In a wicker basket, you will find a "pâté maison," local saucisson, Poilâne bread, butter, pickles, refined cheeses, fruits, macaroons, and of course, champagne!
